Allu Arjun's Icon is one of the upcoming films that has been in the news for a few years. According to a source in the Times of India, the film would star Pooja Hegde and Krithi Shetty as female roles. The film also marks the filmmaker Venu Sriram's debut cooperation with the actor. Dil Raju, a well-known producer, will sponsor the movie, which will be produced under his label Sri Venkateswara Creations.

The film was supposed to start shooting earlier, but it was postponed since director Koratala Siva was finishing another film starring Jr NTR called NTR30. "Our production with Icon Staar @alluarjun garu in the direction of @sivakoratala garu is ON THE CARDS and will be taken up after April 2022," the team tweeted, giving an update on the tentatively titled film AA21.
