Netflix published a weekly list of its most popular TV series during a seven-day period, and it's proven to be a terrific way to see what the rest of the world is viewing at any given moment.

Netflix frequently provides four distinct rankings, two for movies (English and Non-English) and two for TV programs, based on weekly hours viewed – i.e. the total number of hours customers globally watched each title between Monday and Sunday of the previous week (English and Non-English).

It's also worth remembering that Netflix treats each season of a series as a separate entity, so two seasons of the top Netflix shows may make the cut in the same week.
