Raj Kundra Shilpa Shetty's husband, has been arrested in connection with the production of pornographic films

Raj Kundra, a well-known businessman and husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra, was detained by the Mumbai Crime Branch's property division in connection with a pornography ring discovered by Mumbai police in February. According to authorities, nine people have been detained in this instance.

Mr Kundra was detained on Monday, according to Mumbai Police, "since he looks to be the major conspirator in this."

The police also stated that they have "adequate evidence" against him, but that they are continuing their investigation.

The complaint was filed with the Mumbai Crime Branch in February this year, and it involved the fabrication of pornographic videos and their distribution through several applications.

"We've arrested Mr Raj Kundra in this case on 19/7/21 as he appears to be the key conspirator of this," the Mumbai Police Commissioner said in a statement. "There was a case registered with the Crime Branch Mumbai in February 2021 about the creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some Apps.

Raj Kundra has requested anticipatory release in the case, denying any wrongdoing.
