Life of 6-time Winter Olympian Shiva Keshavan from Manali, Kunal Kapoor is all set to launch his own production house. His first film as a producer will be the biopic of India's Winter Olympian, Shiva Keshavan.

Kunal Kapoor, an actor, writer, and entrepreneur, is directing a film on six-time Winter Olympian Shiva Keshavan, a Manali native. This was disclosed by Kunal in an Instagram post, which Keshavan was overjoyed to see.

"I am extremely thrilled to begin my adventure as a producer with the tale of six-time winter Olympian, the incredible @100thofasec," Kapoor said on Instagram. For many years, I have lived with and been inspired by this narrative. This is a narrative of India's spirit, as well as resilience and taking the road less travelled. With limited resources, our capacity to do the impossible."

Shiva Keshavan is a six-time Olympian and the first Indian to compete in the Winter Olympics in luge.

At the 2011 Asian Luge Cup in Nagano, Japan, he established a new Asian speed record of 134.3 km/h and won gold.

In reply to the post of Kunal Kapoor, Olympian Shiva Keshavan posted, “I am super excited to announce that I am working on a film with a wonderful human being & multi talented @kunalkkapoor. Looking forward to bring some attention to winter sports, the Himalayas & most of all to the fire we all have within us that together forms the great blaze — India!”

In 1995, at the age of 14, he won the Junior National Ski Championship. He went to a luge camp at his school when he was 15, which was run by world champion Günther Lemmerer. Keshavan was identified as a talented young athlete, and at the age of 16, he became the youngest individual to ever officially qualify for the Olympic Games in luge, competing in Nagano 1998.

Due to the suspension of the Indian Olympic Association, Keshavan walked as an Independent Olympic participant during the Winter Olympics opening ceremony in Sochi in 2014. However, the Indian Olympic Association made a comeback at the Sochi Winter Olympics, when Keshavan competed under the Indian flag.

In 2018, Keshavan competed in his sixth and last Olympics, finishing 34th out of 40 competitors in the men's singles event. He was elected founder-president of the Olympians Association of India in 2014.

In the future, he wants to promote the Winter Olympics in India.

Keshavan fought hard to qualify for the Olympics without the help of the government and with minimal resources, and he now represents India at the Winter Olympics. To cover his expenditures, he had to turn to crowd fundraising.
