Neeraj Chopra is benefiting of his incredible performance in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, when he won India's second individual gold medal in Olympic history. Several state governments and private organisations have recognised the 23-year-old Haryana athlete for his outstanding performance.

Neeraj Chopra, a javelin thrower, earned a historic Olympic gold medal, becoming India's second individual gold medalist after shooter Abhinav Bindra. With a total of seven medals, India set a new record for the most medals won at an Olympic Games. After outwitting Daulet Niyazbekov in the play-off, wrestler Bajrang Punia will return from Tokyo with a bronze medal in his Olympic debut. Aditi Ashok finished fourth in the women's individual Stroke Play, just missing out on a medal.
