Gehraiyaan review must read till funny conclusion

The latest Amazon original film Gehraiyaan, starring Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Ananya Panday, is a great example of being all over the place. As the Gehraiyaan teasers and songs have suggested, it begins as a romantic character drama. An idle lady (Padukone) tries to choose between two males with diametrically opposed views, while a man who takes no prisoners (Chaturvedi) tries to have it all and juggle two worlds. But, throughout the course of its 133-minute (sans credits) duration, Gehraiyaan morphs into a different beast, becoming increasingly narrative and event-driven. The Gehraiyaan actors and director Shakun Batra have billed it as "domestic neo-noir," although it isn't – Gehraiyaan has no neo-noir elements. Sorry, It's just poor drama, and nothing else.
