'Pathan' starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, to not release on Diwali? Here's why

Pathan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, is unquestionably one of Bollywood's most eagerly anticipated blockbusters. Pathan has been making waves and garnering headlines since news of its release, with audiences soaking up every teeny-weeny piece of information they can get their hands on about it.

For the highly anticipated spy thriller 'Pathan,' Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abhraham will soon be sharing screen space together. While the film was originally intended for a Diwali 2022 release, word on the street is that the creators are deferring the production due to the high level of work necessary.

According to Bollywood Life, a well-placed source inside the business indicated that Pathan may not be released during the festival due to the film's ongoing development, which may force a rethinking of its planned release.

"Shah Rukh Khan is returning to cinema after a self-imposed four-year hiatus, and since Pathan is a part of a specific production house's spy universe, along with Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif's Tiger franchise and Hrithik Roshan's War, every little detail of the film is being scrutinized with a fine comb," the source added.

Apparently, Aditya Chopra and Director Siddharth Anand, who previously collaborated on War, are putting forth all efforts to ensure that 'Pathan' exceeds all expectations, which necessitates the completion of a number of high-octane action sequences in exotic locations, involving massive stunt work and high-end VFX, all of which takes time.
