2. Adanga Maru (2018)

Adanga Maru is an action-packed thriller! It resonates with the audience emotionally and that's when the proceedings grow more and more compelling, thanks to one of the most passionate performances by Jayam Ravi. One of the many things this film does right is combining the hero's harsh violence with his cunning mind tricks.

Jayam Ravi is a master of the angry look, as seen by this one. The action sequences, especially those in the second half, are breathtaking. They retain your interest while you watch the catastrophe spread because they are beautifully filmed, expertly coordinated, and properly placed.

Although there are some parallels with Law Abiding Citizen (2009), in which the protagonist plays games with the corrupt system despite being apprehended, the execution is nonetheless superb.
