On Thursday, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn began filming for the sequel to his 2015 murder thriller "Drishyam."

In Mumbai, actor Ajay Devgn has begun filmmaking for 'Drishyam 2'. The majority of the film will be shot in Goa. Director Abhishek Pathak talks about his experience with the film as he prepares to direct the sequel.

In 'Drishyam 2,' actresses Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Ishita Dutta, among others, will reprise their roles from the first film. 'Drishyam 2' starts up seven years after the events of the first film, putting Vijay's determination to protect his family to the test. This film strives to do credit to the 'crime-thriller' genre in every way.

"Drishyam," directed by the late filmmaker Nishikant Kamat, was a remake of the Mohanlal-starrer Malayalam-language film of the same name, which had its second installment uploaded on Amazon Prime Video in February of last year.

"Drishyam" tells the story of a family of four whose lives are turned upside down after their oldest daughter suffers a tragic accident. Devgn is scheduled to reprise his role as Vijay Salgoankar in the sequel, which will also include Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Ishita Dutta from the original film.

The next chapter in the series will be directed by Abhishek Pathak and will take place seven years after the events of the first and will put Vijay's commitment to defend his family, for whom he would go to any length.
